COVID-19 HEALTH SAFETY PROCEDURES AND PROTOCOLS FOR SSWR’S 2022 IN PERSON CONFERENCE

The SSWR 2022 Annual Conference will be held in person in Washington, DC, January 12 – 16, 2022, at the Marriott Marquis, Washington, DC. The health and safety of our attendees, exhibitors, partners, contractors, and staff are extremely important.
Here is what you should know:
Vaccination or Negative COVID-19 PCR Test
  • All persons who attend the conference will be required to provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours before entry to the conference, each day of attendance. This means that more than one COVID-19 PCR test may need to be taken during the course of your attendance at the conference.
  • Health monitors will be stationed at the entrances to the SSWR conference meeting space. They will also be circulating throughout the SSWR conference meeting space.
  • We will be using the CLEAR app (at no cost to you) to facilitate presenting your vaccine and health status. The first time you access the SSWR meeting space, you will be required to present either the original CDC vaccination card or test results, or a clear photo, plus photo ID. Uploading these documents to the CLEAR app prior to arriving at the hotel is recommended. Details on how to use the CLEAR app will be available early January.
  • You are considered fully vaccinated two weeks after your second dose in a two-dose series (Pfizer, Moderna) or 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine (Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine). Only vaccines approved by the World Health Organization will be accepted.
  • Each day before entering the SSWR conference space persons must show their CLEAR app “Health Pass” indicating they have completed the daily health questionnaire.
  • Individuals who are unable or unwilling to comply with this policy will not be permitted to attend the conference and refunds will not be issued.
  • All attendees will be required to wear a mask or face covering at all times except when eating, regardless of vaccination status.
  • SSWR’s in person conference would only be cancelled if the Mayor of Washington, DC announced that no large, indoor meetings may take place.
  • We will continue to track new developments and these policies may be updated at any time prior to the conference.
We understand that, while these emerging developments may impact the ability of some members to attend in person, we hope that you will still participate through the virtual options. We hope that if you are healthy and comfortable with these precautions you will join us in Washington, DC.
